Good to know
A video needs to be uploaded on, for example, YouTube or Vimeo. It is not possible to upload a video in the Halito! Media Gallery!.
Post a YouTube video on the event website
- Upload your video on YouTube
- Below the video, click on Share
- In the popup window, click Embed and then Copy
- In Halito!, go to Communication > Pages
- Add a new page or click on to edit an existing page
- In the editor, go to Insert > Media and in the popup window click on the Embed tab
- Paste the HTML code you copied ( CTRL+ V) and click the OK button
Post a Vimeo video on the event website
- Upload your video on Vimeo
- Below the video, click Share
- Copy the HTML code shown in the popup window at Embed
- In Halito!, go to Communication > Pages
- Add a new page or click on to edit an existing page
- In the editor, go to Insert > Media and in the popup window click on the Embed tab
- Paste the HTML code you copied ( CTRL+ V) and click the OK button
Practical tip
Make the video responsive so that it is displayed properly on any device. You do this as follows:
- Select the video and in the editor choose Insert > Media
- In the popup-window, change both the width and height to 100%
- Select the option to keep proportions
- Click on the OK button
Practical tip
It is not possible to place a video in an email campaign. However, you can give that impression:
- Take a screenshot of the video and upload it to the media gallery of Halito!
- Add a new email campaign or click to edit an existing email campaign
- Add the image in the content of the email campaign
- Add a link to this image which refers to the video on YouTube, Vimeo or other video platform
